Sometime after moving back to Dublin, my career in banking started, as much as I loved this work, I had a niggling creativity within me that I knew I had to follow, so decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an Interior Designer & in 2003 I graduated from the Dublin Institute of Design. I now have over 16 years design experience working on commercial and residential projects such as show homes, private homes, offices, bars and retail in both Ireland and the U.K.
One of my favourite Interior Design projects was back in 2006 for RTE Show-house. I designed an affordable 3 bedroom semi-detached home for a young family who were just starting out on the property ladder. Seeing how happy they were with the design of their home was an extremely rewarding experience for me. I also collaborated with Celebrity Showhouse where I assisted Linda Martin and Kevin Sharkey with their designs.
In 2008 my Interior Design career with IKEA Dublin began, it was such an exciting time as I worked on the design and build of the Dublin store and other IKEA stores across the U.K. Here I created the most inspiring, affordable room sets and solutions on the Irish and UK retail markets. My love of clever, affordable, functional Scandinavian design with a passion for beautiful interiors and attention to detail was nurtured throughout this time.
